Personal Testimony- Rev M.Peri

I was born into a strong traditional Hindu family. My father is a Hindu priest; we had our own Hindu Temple and used to practice and conduct the requirements of the Hindu religion regularly.

During the 1983 riots in Sri Lanka, we were displaced from our homes and our temples were destroyed. It was at this juncture that I came to know the Lord through a friend who had a closer relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. He showed us God’s Love in action which touched my life and made me give my life to the Lord.

I started to attend a local church regularly and soon after this I had my water baptism along with the Holy Spirit and grew closer in the knowledge of the Lord and began to serve the Lord within the ministry.

I had an earnest desire to serve the Lord and continue to pray and wait upon the Lord for his guidance. I received a prophecy from Late Pastor Dr. Tayo Adiomi from New Vine church (Greenwich East London) and the same was confirmed by another pastor. This was reiterated by the anointing of teaching and healing ministry, which God has graciously granted to me.

So I began to study the word of God and eventually joined a bible college(Hampstead Bible college) to further understand and equip myself in the word. Successfully completed a diploma and was ordained as a minister by God’s Grace.

Prior to commencing Bible college, together with my family, I began to pray at home and seek God’s guidance to fulfill the calling. Soon we hired a church and began to gather in the church with more friends. Gradually a few more people joined us and this way we steadily grew in number. Our outreach is particularly aimed at the Hindu community.
